The Website Building Process

The website building process can be broken down into 5 sub-processes called phases. They are Visual Design, Programming, Content Insertion, Go-Live and Updating.

Visual Design Phrase

The website is only an idea. Once this phase gets under way, the website starts to take form.

Programming Phase

The behind the scenes effort. The programming phase requires many hours of code writing, the nuts and bolts of the website.

Content Insertion Phase

The business works with the webmaster to develop the content of the website. This stage decides what the visitors to the website see, when they see it, and where in the layout of the page it is displayed.

Go-Live Phase

All the work has been completed and we are ready to show the world your site. In the Go-Live phase, the site is put online and is active to the public.

Updating Phase

The updating phase is an ongoing process. Websites can be updated at any time, whether daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly. It is up to the business to decide when to update a website. An update can be as simple as a change in contact information to a re-design of a layout. An idea for an update may be more complicated and require the commencement of another project.
